Test and Tag
Electrical equipment and safety switches should be tested regularly in all workplaces. Testing intervals vary from 3-12 months, according to your industry and work environment. Offices currently require electrical testing and tagging every 12 months, while site workers require a 3 monthly testing interval on their equipment. We ensure compliance to AS/NZS 3760 Australian standards.

Fire Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers, fire blankets and emergency exit lighting should be tested every 6 months, according to AS 1851 Australian fire safety standards. Our qualified fire service protection technicians provide detailed inspection reports, updates to your emergency exit lighting (EEL) logbooks and can help with emergency exit plans.

What are the current smoke alarm laws in Queensland?
Yes, a lot has changed with regards to where and what smoke alarms should be installed! Photoelectric, interconnected smoke alarms are now required in all residential properties being leased or sold. Other dwellings have until 2027 to comply. Interconnected smoke alarms provide added safety - when one goes off, they all go off, giving you more time to escape in an emergency.
If your current smoke alarm is over 10 years old – it’s also time to upgrade now.
